We spent the day on a six person tour to Krka Falls National Park and Sibenik town. These small tours are really great--they save us from driving and we meet all kinds of interesting people. We drove to the town of Skradin and then took a short boat trip to the falls.
There were lots of baby swans along the way to the falls.

The falls are absolutely stunning.
I hiked to the top. This is a shot looking down on some of the pools.
One of the coolest things is once you got to the top there is a wooden boardwalk that lets you traverse all of the forested parts of the river at the top. It was a terrific nature walk. All along there were pools of Dalmatian Trout--thousands in all.
We then drove to the small town of Sibenik. It's a charming place with a well-preserved old town. It looks like it didn't get bombed in the 90s war. It wasn't touristy at all.
We were lucky enough to have gone there during the International Children's Festival. There were kids' paintings of themselves hanging all over town.
We had dinner at Bota--a Croatian sushi restaurant in 4 locations. We had eaten there in Dubrovnik and it was also very good here in Split.
Love those kid face banners.
