Day 13: Vela Luka on Korcula

We had a short sail today from one side of Korcula to another--Vela Luka.  along the way, I noticed what looked like terraces for grapes, but olive trees were planted instead.

After a swim stop, we went to an olive oil manufacturer--a mom and pop operation.  It ends up, the phylloxeria epidemic that devastated the French wine industry also hit Croatia. Many families on this island switched from making wine to making olive oil.

We visited a family home that set up their residence as a museum.  It was pretty cool.

Vela Luka is a really nice seasidetown.  They have mosaics all over the sidewalks.

We had dinner at a really cute restaurant covered in vines.

    1. We've seen them everywhere in antique shops. Wish I could drag a few back.
