Day 12: Mljet to Korcula

Today was pretty laid back.  We had a short sail from Mljet to Korcula.

We stopped along the way for swimming off the back of the boat.  This was really fun.

Korcula Town was a bit like Dubrovnik--part of the the Republic of Venice, walled city.  The good news is that there were none of the crowds of tourists that we found in Dubrovnik.

.
We had a lovely seaside meal.  Lots of restaurants around the entire old town.  There is a big controversy whether Marco Polo was born here or on Venice (but Korcula was part of Venice when he was born).  Anyway, they make a mean homemade macaroni here.
